Handmade Sugared Mini Roses

Hi Friends!

Would you like to see how I make my sugared mini roses?  I created a video tutorial for My Little Shoebox and it's up on the blog today, so now I can share it with you here, too.

I would really love if you would let me know here or on the My Little Shoebox blog what you think of the tutorial.  This is my first try at a video tutorial, and it's very far from perfect, so go easy on me, please :)

Let's do Lunch :)

I have one last card to share for now using the My Little Shoebox City by the Bay collection.

Something about this particular house sticker from the cardstock sticker sheet reminded me of a small town, main-street type of restaurant.  So then I started thinking about how it would be nice to meet a friend for lunch.

So on this card I tried to recreate the scene that I had in my mind of the restaurant and surrounding area.  I think it will be fun to send this to a friend!

Once again I used GlueArts products (GlueGlider Pro, extreme adhesive squares, and 3D adhesive foam blanks) to assemble my card.

I hope you will come back tomorrow for the My Little Shoebox blog hop featuring the new Heartfelt collection!

Congrats

Yep today I have another card to share using the City by the Bay collection from My Little Shoebox :)

Hopefully the cards that I've been showing you over the past several days help to prove how versatile the City by the Bay collection is :)

Thanks to the MLS and GlueArts product swap, I had plenty of the GlueArts foam blanks to use to build dimension between the layers of my card.

Don't forget about the My Little Shoebox blog hop on Friday!  There will be prizes to be won!

Thanks!

Today I have another My Little Shoebox City by the Bay card to share.  I have sent this to the parents of a friend of mine who were so generous to invite my daughter and me to their house to join them for their family Easter dinner.  They made us feel so welcome and in fact treated us just like part of the family, so I hope this card conveys my appreciation.

Dont'cha just love using border punches?  Here I simply layered punched and inked strips of paper over the same color background paper to add some nice interest.  I adhered them using the GlueArts GlueGlider Pro that I received for the GlueArts product swap with My Little Shoebox.  I'm a big fan of that tool!  It's so easy to use and applies adhesive so quickly.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello

Hello everyone :)  I hope you had a great weekend.

First of all I would like to say happy birthday to Dan!

I have another My Little Shoebox City by the Bay card to share today.

I love building dimension on my projects.  I often layer stickers, die cuts, and so forth on top of one another using foam tape in between.  I used GlueArts U Cut It foam blanks between the flowers here.  I like being able to cut the foam to the desired size.

Stop by again tomorrow for another card :)

MLS Heartfelt Sneak Peek

Happy Friday!

Have you caught any glimpses of the new My Little Shoebox mid-release Heartfelt collection yet?  The design team has certainly been ooh-ing and aah-ing over this absolutely gorgeous line.  I cannot wait for you to see it... the papers, diecuts, and stickers are all really beautiful!

Here's a little peek at a layout I created with Heartfelt:

Aren't the colors lovely?  Come back next Friday the 20th to see the full layout, and be ready to hop along on the MLS blog hop which will be featuring this new collection!

Have a great weekend!

Happy Day

Today I'm sharing another card using the City by the Bay collection from My Little Shoebox.

One of the things that I love about My Little Shoebox papers is that they're double-sided.  One side typically has a cute, whimsical theme, while the other side is a coordinating but more versatile pattern.

I thought the reverse sides of the City by the Bay collection were quite pretty, and I used them for several of my projects this month.  So before you shy away from papers that you might feel are too whimsical or "theme-y", check the reverse sides, and suddenly you have another whole set of options.

I love making my own flowers.  Don't get me wrong, I love to buy the premade ones, too, and like most of you, I have accumulated quite a stash of those beauties.  But there is something about making them yourself sometimes that makes the project all the more meaningful.

The above flowers were made in just a few minutes using some punches, misted water, a heat tool, Glossy Accents, Diamond Dust, and GlueArts Extreme Adhesive Squares.  Thank you, GlueArts, for the awesome product swap with MLS!  The squares were perfect for adhering the layers of my flower together.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi Friend

Here's a card that I made with the City by the Bay collection from My Little Shoebox.

I really love the extra appeal that a little glitter glue, fabric paint, stitching, and doodling adds to projects.  Give it a try!

MME Layout Challenge 23

Happy National Scrapbook Day!  I thought about doing laundry, and I thought about doing some yard work, but being a scrapbooking holiday and all, I decided to scrapbook instead :)

I made this layout for My Mind's Eye layout challenge 23.

I used the MME Just Dreamy 2 Dazzling collection from a couple years ago.  Although it's an older collection, it's still a good one and has lots of flowers to fussy cut!  The alphas are American Crafts Thickers and My Little Shoebox mini stickers.

Thanks for stopping by!
