Momenta/Epiphany Crafts Cards

Momenta recently participated in a fun product swap with Epiphany Crafts.  I created a set of cards for the event.

As soon as I saw the beautiful Epiphany Crafts felt flowers in my product box, I knew they would coordinate wonderfully with Momenta's bright and cheerful Kaleidoscope collection

I loved how super quick and easy it was to create custom epoxy shapes with EC's scalloped circle Shape Studio tool.  What a fun little gadget that is.

I found the epoxy shapes to be perfect centers for the flowers...
... as well as lovely toppers for bows.
This was a really fun product swap to participate in.  Thank you, Momenta and Epiphany Crafts!

My Little Shoebox Winter Wonderland Card Hop ***Prizes***

Welcome to the next stop on the My Little Shoebox Winter Wonderland inspirational card hop!  If you've arrived here from the My Little Shoebox blog, you're in the right place :)

I had so much fun creating this card with Winter Wonderland.  The color scheme... the patterned papers... the cardstock sticker designs... well, ALL OF IT is just sooooooo adorable!  I finished it off with some liquid pearls, glitter glue, and ribbon from my stash.

Here is the Winter Wonderland collection in its entirety.

This is the adorable Unity Stamp Company/My Little Shoebox "winter joy. peace. love" itty bitty stamp set that I used for the sentiment.

Thanks for joining us today for our Winter Wonderland inspirational card hop.  There will be two Winter Wonderland collections given away to random commenters on the participating blogs.  Prize winners will be announced on the My Little Shoebox blog on Tuesday, November 22.

Now hop on over to the blog of the super talented Mandy Starner to see the super cute cards she has created with Winter Wonderland!

Please Keep the Grass Off My Feet!

Pretty much any time I set my daughter down on the grass, she immediately lifts her feet up, alternating the left and the right.  While she loves to pull the grass out of the ground with her hands, she apparently does not like how the grass feels on her feet.  It's kind of cute so I thought it would be fun to capture this preference of hers on a scrapbook page.

I created this for Momenta using their pretty Chloe's Garden paper collection as well as some of their solid color cardstock and a couple of their alphas.

The flower clusters on this layout were very simple to create:

I first punched out two large and three medium five-petal flowers from various shades of pink cardstock.  I curled the petals down around a thin skewer to create dimension.

Next I used my electronic die cutting machine to cut out 5 spiraled scalloped flowers which I rolled up and adhered to the centers of the punched flowers.  I topped the rolled flowers off with a little glitter glue.

I then used my smallest flower punch to punch out three tiny flowers from light blue cardstock, curled the petals downward, centered them with gems, and placed them around the larger pink flowers.

My Creative Scrapbook big sketch contest, sketch #2.
Go play along! :)

Happy Birthday

Hi blog friends!  Have you seen the MLS/Scrapping Cottage co-branded metal dies?  I had a chance to try one of them out (Scooter & Tugboat die) on a card for this month.  I love that I was able to use the die to cut and piece my boat in any colors that I wanted.

This is the Destination collection from My Little Shoebox's Summer '11 release.  I think this card could be cute for a boy or any boating fan :)

Here are the co-branded dies:

November MLS Sneaks

Hello blog friends!  Can you believe a new month is here already?  Today I have some sneak peeks at some of what I've been up to for My Little Shoebox for November.

I got to work with the fun Destination collection.  As is the case with all of Helen's collections, this one can be used for playful, "themey" types of projects as well as for the more delicate, feminine styles.  I made a few of each :)

I will certainly be keeping my eyes glued to the My Little Shoebox blog to see what the rest of the DT girls have been up to with their wonderful MLS goodies!

Gable Box/Card Set and a Halloween Photo

Hi everyone!  I hope my Halloween-celebrating friends had a super fun day yesterday :)  Here's a photo of my daughter in her Tinkerbell costume.

This costume is from Rebel Daisy Designs.  My friend, Krista, is the owner and she handmakes absolutely beautiful tutu dresses and hair accessories.  She recently started a Bow of the Month club, too, which my daughter NEEDS to sign up for!  Rebel Daisy Designs is on Etsy and Facebook.

In scrappy news... I'm on the Momenta blog today with this fun gable box and card set.  I used the super cute Kaleidoscope collection for this.

I filled the box with some scrumptious chocolates... of course I had to sample one (okay, two) of the chocolates to make sure they were suitable for the recipient :)

Thanks for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate it!  Tomorrow I hope to post a few sneaks of what I've been up to for My Little Shoebox :)
