My Creative Scrapbook August Album Kit: Webster's Pages Sweet Notes

Hello! The August kits at My Creative Scrapbook kit club have been revealed, so now I can finally share what I've been up to in my scrap room for the past few weeks!

The Album kit this month features the bright and classy Sweet Notes collection by Allison Kreft for Webster's Pages.

The kit is just loaded with goodies including several beautiful patterned papers, a transparency sheet, and cardstock stickers plus tons of awesome embellishments... flowers, wood pieces, a bird paper clip, several gorgeous ribbons and trims, raw chipboard shapes and a whole pack of raw chipboard letters, a roll of washi tape, canvas heart stickers, lots of buttons, mini envelopes, and more... there's even an awesome Prima stencil! Pam really packed tons of product into this kit.

And, what fun it was to use the kit to create this mini album of my gorgeous nieces!

"Own the Runway" was the theme of the girls' dance season, so it was an easy choice for the album's title.

I LOVE how colorful this album is. Since all of the photos of the girls consist of black and white attire and have black backgrounds, I knew this kit would be the perfect complement. The colorful patterns were so fun to layer! and the transparency sheet... wow, that was just wonderful for cutting into pieces and tucking in here and there throughout the album to bring the whole thing together.

Later this month I plan to have a little tutorial prepared to show how I altered the raw chipboard birdcage shown above and some of the other raw chipboard pieces that can be found throughout the album.

I'm excited to send this album off to my sister... I hope she likes it! Here's the kit:

It's a new month and that means it's time for a new reveal at My Creative Scrapbook kit club. Ohhh the kits are really gorgeous! I had a wonderful time designing with them and have so much to share with you.

My Creative Scrapbook August Album Kit Reveal

Hi, today I'd like to share a mini album that I made with the August Album Kit from My Creative Scrapbook kit club.  This kit is so very beautiful!  It's jam-packed with the So Happy Together collection from Echo Park along with some gorgeous Prima flowers, a pretty doily, pretty lace and ribbon, bling, and wonderful chipboard shapes.

When I learned that I would be creating a mini album with this wonderful kit, after a bit lot of a panic (if you know me at all, you know I'm not exactly confident about my mini album making skills LOL), I decided to use this opportunity to document Allison's favorite summer activities as a 2-year-old.  So, I printed some of my favorite action shots from this summer and am so thrilled to have them all together in this mini album.

Here's a photo of the kit... pretty drool-worthy, yes?

There's lots of excitement going on all the time at My Creative Scrapbook.  In addition to the 4 big kits each month (Main, Creative, Limited Edition, and Album), Pam has added some terrific add-ons!  There's a beautiful flower kit, a fab Dusty Attic kit, a mixed media kit, and, there is going to be a project kit complete with instructions.  So check it out!

Also, there are currently 2 fun challenges up and running, complete with prize packages to be won:
The sketch contest is... here.
The lift the design team challenge is... here.
