My Creative Scrapbook June Sneak Peeks

Oh MY have I ever been busy in the scrap room!

Aside from having to move everything out and then back in again (thanks to a construction mishap courtesy of our home builder that required reflooring of the entire upper level of our home), I have been scrappin' up a storm.

Just wait until you see the June kits at My Creative Scrapbook kit club. I worked with the Main, Creative, and Limited Edition kits this month and will be able to start sharing my layouts in a few days.

In the meantime, here are some sneak peaks of what I've been up to with those kits!

You can find many more sneak peeks of the kits from my fellow design team members on the My Creative Scrapbook blog.

I hope to see you on the 5th for the full reveal :)

Thank You Cards: Ruby Rock-It & Fiskars

Hey all, I just wanted to share a pair of cards that I have up on the Ruby Rock-It blog today.

We're featuring the Arcadia, Reminisce, and Mother Nature collections this month, so I have used products from those lines to create these cards.

Aren't the trims beautiful? I've added a pink butterfly chipboard accent and a trio of sweet off-white heart stickers.

The second card follows the same design as the first but moves from serene blues to pretty peaches and pinks. I loved the trim so much that I doubled up on it this time!

The flower focal point was made using dies from my stash and centered with a pearl-adorned floral chipboard piece. I added additional pearls along the bottom of the card to further dress it up.

I've been enjoying our collaboration with Fiskars this month and love the pretty detailing that the hearts border punch added to my cards.

If you stop by the Ruby Rock-It blog, you'll find my supply list as well as a beautiful canvas created by my teammate, Pattie Beltran.

Thanks for stopping by!

Quick Clean & Simple Cards from Scraps: Ruby Rock-It

Hey there, today I would like to share some quick tips for creating sweet handmade cards when time is of the essence.

While many of us love to add layer after layer of paper and embellishments to our projects, sometimes life just doesn't slow down enough to be able to devote a lot of time to crafting. Still, giving a handmade card over a store bought one is almost always preferred.

Ruby Rock-It understands how quickly life can move and offers a whole line of pre-cut, scored, embossed card bases with envelopes, called Imprints. Awesome, right? Such time-savers they are.

Here are the Imprints that I chose for today's cards:

If you're like me, you couldn't imagine tossing your scraps, and you've got quite an assortment of them in your stash just begging to be used on a project.

I pulled some scraps that I had saved after my last Kinda Krafty project and laid them out on my table.

I grabbed a couple of my favorite punches and punched out a handful of shapes from the scraps.

For my first card, I glued 7 of the punched butterflies directly onto the Imprints card base. I adhered the "Good Job" sentiment, which was cut from the Kinda Crafty Chatterbox cardstock, using a foam square for dimension. Then I pulled some pearls from a Bella! Bling Borderlines pack and glued one to each butterfly.

For my second card (hey! challenge yourself to make your cards in pairs or sets- you'll be glad to have the extra cards in your stash), I glued the larger butterfly directly to the Imprints card base, added a little pearl, and then used foam squares to adhere the smaller butterflies in a whimsical fashion. I added a sentiment again cut from the Chatterbox cardstock sheet and called it complete.

So quick and easy but still handmade!

Thank You Card: Ruby Rock-It & Fiskars

Here's a card that I created for the Ruby Rock-It blog this week featuring the lovely Arcadia range.

Krisberc-thanks-a-bunch

I layered an Arcadia tag and bling as well as butterflies and the oval sentiment base from one of the decoupage sets onto three of the Arcadia papers. I added the bright white punched butterfly to bring out the white in the patterned paper and in the card base. The sentiment is a stamp from my stash.

Ruby Rock-It and Fiskars are cross-promoting this month. Here's the Fiskars Sea Pearls 3-in-1 Corner Punch that I used to add some detailed corners to one of the paper layers:

More My Creative Scrapbook: Doodlebug Take Note

I have one more Doodlebug Take Note layout to share that I created with the Creative kit this month from My Creative Scrapbook kit club.

Such a simple layout but one of my recent favorites. I think the simplicity helps let the fun bubble-filled photos take center stage.

Here's a photo of the May Creative kit:

The kit contains lots of super cute Take Note papers and stickers along with Prima flowers, ribbons, buttons, a 12x12 piece of canvas, and even paper clips. Such a happy kit!

For information on purchasing any of My Creative Scrapbook's monthly kits, please visit the website HERE. While you're there, I highly recommend viewing the Design Team gallery!

Well that does it for my May kit work for My Creative Scrapbook. I'm off to dig into the June kits... just wait until you see what's coming :)
