Gaining Confidence - My Creative Scrapbook

I'm back today with my second scrapbook layout made with My Creative Scrapbook kit club's September Limited Edition kit.  I just love the Rossibelle collection from Prima Marketing that's featured in the kit. The colors are just gorgeous!

For the background, I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, stamps from Viva LasVegastamps, and a Prima stencil from my stash. There is something therapeutic about dabbling in mixed media :)

Love, Love, Love - My Creative Scrapbook

Thank goodness it's Friday!!! Whew, what a week at work.  Actually, the past few weeks have been pretty nutty.  Way too many kiddos at my schools have been in need of crisis intervention.  Yet somehow, Friday the 13th came and went today without much to speak of.  It was actually a pretty productive day for me, which, unfortunately, is quite rare.

I have one last layout to share today that I made using the November Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  This one is my favorite.  I pulled the purples and pinks from the kit to coordinate with my photo.  That gorgeous background paper is from the Royal Menagerie collection by Prima Marketing.  All I did to it was use a pencil to draw some random circles, smoosh on some purple and blue Lindy's Stamp Gang spray (from my stash), flick some drops of fuschia LSG spray, and run a palette knife with super heavy gesso over the awesome Prima stencil found in the kit.  Then I created a paper pile using additional Royal Menagerie papers, Finnabair ephemera, etc.

Ahhh there are so many stunning Prima flowers in this kit, and in the perfect colors!

I love the gold alphabet stickers, which I used to spell out the word LOVE in three places on my page.

I'm lovin' that bright white contrast/texture that the super heavy gesso adds to the page.  What an awesome stencil!

Make Each Day Count - My Creative Scrapbook

Hey everyone! I'm back with my third layout made with the super pretty Limited Edition kit for November from My Creative Scrapbook kit club.  This layout came together really easily! I pulled the greenish piece of patterned paper from Prima's Royal Menagerie collection and added more green to it by smooshing on some green Lindy's Stamp Gang spray.  When dry, I flicked some more Lindy's spray in blue.  Next, I layered a handful of pieces from the Finnabair ephemera pack on top of the large doily.  I flicked some drops of Lindy's spray in white here and there on the page.  Just a couple of Prima flowers and two stickers completed this simple layout.  All of the products, with the exception of the Lindy's sprays, came in the kit!

Here's the beeeeeeeaaaautiful November Limited Edition kit!

If you've been thinking of joining a kit club, now's a really great time to take a closer look at My Creative Scrapbook.  I just got my hands on the December kits, and let's just say... WOW.  I mean, WOW!!! You are not going to want to miss out... they're completely gorgeous.

You are My Sun... My Creative Scrapbook

Hey friends! I have another layout to share today that I made using the November Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  The kit has a lovely combination of products from Prima Marketing, Blue Fern Studios, and We R Memory Keepers.

The background paper is from the Prima Royal Menagerie collection.  I added a bit of yellow to it with some Lindy's Stamp Gang spray that I had in my stash.  Then I applied some super heavy gesso through the Prima stencil that came in the kit. I finished the background by flicking on a tiny bit of my blue Lindy's spray.

I fussy cut the butterflies and tags from the We R Memory Keepers Wildflower collection papers.  I popped up the butterfly wings with some foam squares.

There are lots of gorgeous Prima flowers in this kit!  I clustered a variety of them around my photo.

I cut the We R Memory Keepers Wildflower collection "You are my sun my moon and all my stars" sticker into three pieces and adhered them to the page.

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Three Girls - My Creative Scrapbook

Hi friends! Today I'm sharing a layout for My Creative Scrapbook kit club made with the November 2015 Limited Edition kit.  The background paper is a beautiful piece from the Prima Royal Menagerie collection.  I used a paint brush with some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays to splash some pink, orange, and blue in the area where I would later adhere my photo.  I thought the colorful sprays did a nice job of pulling together the colors in the photo and the colors in the kit products.

The layers under my photo are mostly pieces from the Finnabair ephemera pack.  There are tons of beautiful pieces in that pack to choose from.  After adding three gorgeous Prima flowers to represent the three girls, stickers, and journaling, I flicked some black spray ink around the page for contrast.

Here's the kit that I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be sharing more kit work throughout the week.  Have a good one!

My Creative Scrapbook: Recital Day

Hooray for the weekend!

Today's share is a layout of my sweet girl on her very first recital day.  Pam at My Creative Scrapbook couldn't have put together a better kit for this photo! :)

Just like yesterday's layout, I chose a Blue Fern Studios Love Story collection paper for the background.  The rest of the papers are Prima Marketing's Debutante collection.

Here are some of the breathtaking Prima flowers that are included in the kit.

More Prima flowers and a beautiful butterfly.  Here you can also see some of the treatment that I applied to the Blue Fern Studios jeweled frame chipboard piece.  First a coat of white gesso, then embossing with 3 colors of Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powders, then some random stamping with a Prima stamp, followed by some dabs of white gesso here and there.  I finished the frame off with some gold beads from my stash.

I used a variety of coordinating Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, a stencil and stamp from Prima, and a stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps on my background.  Can you see the white glittery tulle trim tucked into the sides of the photo?

The white sparkly alphas in the kit were perfect for the title.

My Creative Scrapbook: Moments

Hi blog friends!

I have another layout to share today that I made with the gorgeous August Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook kit club.

The background paper on this is from the beautiful Love Story collection from Blue Fern Studios.  The rest of the layout features the Debutante collection from Prima Marketing.

This kit includes a breathtaking assortment of Prima flowers.  LOVE!

The Blue Fern Studios background paper has a subtle brick wall print on it.  So I used an awesome brick wall stamp here and there that I recently purchased from Viva Las Vegastamps to mimic the pattern and add interest.  The black ink adds nice contrast.

I also used a brick wall stencil with some super heavy gesso.  The five spray mists that I used on the background are all from Lindy's Stamp Gang.  I used the mists both before and after the gesso/stencil layer to add even more dimension.

There are loads of beautiful chipboard pieces included in this kit.  I placed a couple of them here and there on the layout.

Here's the My Creative Scrapbook August Limited Edition kit:

My Creative Scrapbook: Ladylike Layout + Doll Stamp Card

It's the 5th of the month, and that means it's kit reveal day at My Creative Scrapbook!

The August Limited Edition kit features the Debutante collection from Prima Marketing.  What a breathtaking assortment of papers, chipboard stickers, and flowers.

There are also complementary papers from Blue Fern Studios and Webster's Pages, along with a beautiful Blue Fern Studios chipboard frame, gorgeous trims, and lovely buttons.  A bottle of Prima Color Bloom spray mist and a Prima doll stamp are also included! Wow!

This is one of the layouts that I created with the kit along with mixed media goodies from my stash:

For my background, I used 5 colors of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays (see product list below) and a chevron stamp from Viva Las Vegastamps.  I also added some string for texture.

My background color choices were inspired by the Lindy's Stamp Gang August color challenge:

The Lindy's Stamp Gang products that I used on my layout are:
C'est la vie Cerise
Cotton Candy Pink
Merci Beaucoup Mint
Merry-Go-Round Green
Shabby Turbine Teal

I also made this quick card with the kit:

How fun to have a Prima doll stamp included in the kit! To create the doll, I stamped it several times on various scraps of leftover kit paper (and on the stamp packaging for the skin pieces!), fussy cut the pieces, and assembled them.  Then I simply attached it with foam squares to the card front.

For the subtle white circles on the background, I dipped a cap from a water bottle into super heavy gesso and stamped it onto the card.

Here's the gorgeous kit:
