SD4U August Kits!

It's kit reveal time at scrapbookdeals4u.com! Once again, Martha has put together 3 fantastic kits to choose from (although I don't know how anyone could choose just one)!

Here are the SD4U August kits...

Kit #1: Sweet Summertime

Kit #2: 72 & Sunny

Kit #3: Heatwave

You can always visit the SD4U Online Store to purchase any available kits (the available August kits will be added to the store after the kit club subscribers have made their kit selections). Of course, the best way to make sure you don't miss out on the kits that you want is to become a SD4U kit club subscriber. Since SD4U is a no-commitment club, there's nothing to lose... there is no minimum number of kits that you are required to purchase! Each month, SD4U subscribers get to select 1, 2 or all 3 of the monthly kits after having a chance to see photos of each kit. How cool is that?! Plus, subscribers get discounts on the price of the kits and on the shipping fees. Whether or not you decide to subscribe, I'd love for you to join the SD4U forums where you'll find a bunch of friendly ladies, tons of inspiration, and lots of opportunities to win scrappy prizes :)

You

Hey everyone! Today I have a layout to share that I created using Creative Scrappers sketch 112.

This is Allison at 4 months :) The journaling reads, "You are my beautiful, sweet, perfect miracle". I hope she knows how precious she is to me!

I'm hosting a scrappy recipe challenge for the rest of this month at Scrapbookdeals4u.com with this layout as my sample. Check it out as well as the rest of the design team's challenges... there are prizes to be won! :)

Another DT Term at SD4U!

Hi everyone! Scrapbook Deals 4 U online kit club has announced it's new design team and I'm very excited to share that I will be staying! I have been on the team for nearly a year now and it's been such a wonderful experience. I feel so fortunate to be staying on for another term.

I'm really looking forward to working with this new team. Martha's kits are wonderful to design with and I anticipate seeing a lot of inspiration and energy from the new team. If you have a chance, I'm sure these ladies would appreciate it if you would stop by their blogs and give some love! :)

SD4U July Reveal!

It's the first week of the month, so it's reveal time at Scrapbook Deals 4 U kit club!

I was assigned the fun "Max & Whiskers" kit this month. It is such a versatile kit! I was able to make 2 pet layouts, a family layout, and 5 cards. I still have some of the kit left!

Here's what I created...

This is One Unique Individual: This is our cat, Sabre. Dan loves this picture of him! It just seems so funny that he's sitting there with his eyes closed. Anyway, Sabre is unlike any other cat I know. He's much more like a dog in that he follows his Papa around everywhere, and really portrays the meaning of "man's best friend" in every way. I used Suede Glimmer Mist on the cream background cardstock as well as on the patterned paper to add to the overall distressed look. That cream colored flower is simply the ribbon from the kit, twisted and hot glued into the shape of a flower, with a button added in the center. Those small tiny alpha letters are not part of the kit.

The Original Men's Club: These are the 3 cats that Dan had when I met him (Pumpkin, Quack, and Sabre). They were very often huddled up all together on our bed. Somehow we came up with the nickname "The Men's Club" for these 3. Then a few years later I got my own cat, and now that he's older and now that 2 of the original male cats have passed on, we have a new men's club. But, we will always remember the Original Men's Club :) I used Suede Glimmer Mist on the papers to add to the distressed look. Those small tiny alpha letters are not part of the kit.

And Baby Makes 3: This is Dan, Allison, and me when Allison was about 2 weeks old. I used Suede Glimmer Mist on the white background cardstock and I used white fabric paint to create those pearl-looking dots on the big blue circle.

Set of Kids' Cards: There are sooo many adorable embellishments in this kit! I decided I wanted to save the googly-eye critters for some cute cards to send out. I grabbed some cardstock and alphabet stickers from my stash, used a swiss dots embossing template, added some machine stitching, and made this set of 3 cards using the embellishments from the kit. The cat card says, "You're Purrfect", the bunny card says, "You're Somebunny Special", and the dog card says, "I Ruff You".

Set of Thank You Cards: I'm one of those that really can't stand to let too many leftovers sit there unused... so I assembled a pair of simple thank you cards. You can never have enough of those on hand! For these, I grabbed some more cardstock and alphabet stickers from my stash, added some machine stitching, and used up some more of the paper strips and embellishments that I had leftover from the kit.

If you ordered this kit, you're sure to have a lot of fun with it. If you haven't ordered it yet, there are still some left in the SD4U online store so head on over and grab one!

Also be sure to check out the Kit Chat section of the SD4U message board to see what the other design team members created with their kits!

One more thing... the Scrapbook Deals 4 U online store is having a 4th of July sale! Now through July 5th, buy two kits and get one for $10.00! (savings of $18.95) All past kits are included (excludes current July kits). Just use the code Liberty during checkout!
