Sweet

This is my take on one of the September PageMaps sketches.

The adorable outfit that Allison's wearing was a gift from her grandpa.  He has excellent taste, doesn't he?!  It's so fun to see her in such cute outfits.

See those glittery chipboard flowers and heart?  I found those deep inside my stash and even though they're from a few years ago I thought they'd look good on this layout.  It feels good to use up some older things!

Happy Grandparents Day!

Allison sent these cards to her grandparents for Grandparents Day.  I hope they brightened their days :)  They were created with some of my leftovers from the September "Life is Good" kit from Scrapbook Daisies (plus some additional items from my stash).

Cards with Kit Leftovers

Hi everyone!

Just sharing a card that I made with some of the leftovers from my September "Life is Good" kit from Scrapbook Daisies.

I have a few more to share but I can't post them here yet because some of the recipients read my blog :)  So I'll share them next week.

While I totally love handmade cards, I usually struggle with making them... I never know where to begin! Once I decided that I should just consider a card to be a mini-layout, and make it similar to the way I would make a layout, it has become a little easier. They are still not a strong point for me but I'm becoming more comfortable with them. I'm loving square-shaped cards, by the way!

Scrapbook Daisies September Reveal!

It's reveal time at Scrapbook Daisies (formerly Scrapbook Deals 4 U) kit club!  I got to create with the beautiful "Life is Good" kit this month. I love the colors in this Echo Park collection as well as the perfectly coordinating embellishments from Maya Road, Prima, and Zva that Martha included in the kit!

6 Months: I really can't believe Allison is already 6 months old! She is such a blessing! I used Creative Scrappers sketch 119. The kraft background cardstock, the pink Prima flowers, and the leaves are from my personal stash. Everything else is from the kit.

10 Things I Love About You: I could certainly list more than 10 things that I love about my daughter but for this layout I chose 10 of them :) The kraft cardstock that I used for the journaling strips as well as the pink and blue Prima flowers and leaves are from my personal stash.

It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This: I just adore this photo of Dan and Allison! It's definitely one of my favorites. I took it while we were in Grand Teton National Park this summer.  The kraft background cardstock as well as the Prima flowers and leaves are from my personal stash.

Life is Good: This photo was taken while on one of our little road trips up to Jackson Hole in June. We stopped about half-way there in a little town called Dubois so that Allison could be fed, etc. Everything here is from the kit except for the 3 pink Prima flowers/leaves.

I still have quite a bit of the kit left!  I'm currently working on a few cards with some of the leftovers which I will photograph and post soon.

Also, it's not too late to join in the fun at the Scrapbook Daisies Back to School online crop.  Hope to see you there!

Thanks for stopping by! :)
