Blue Fern Studios - I Think You're Wonderful

Hello blog friends! As we head into the weekend I'm hoping to inspire you with my latest Blue Fern Studios layout. This one features the new Wanderlust collection papers, flowers, and printed chipboard.

I started with the gorgeous Wanderlust Ocean Voyage paper and prepped it with clear gesso.  I couldn't resist coloring the paper with yellow spray inks to match those beautiful, vibrant yellow flowers in the Wanderlust Vine! I then applied modeling paste through a stencil and some black stamping here and there with the new Travel Time stamp.

I treated the title chipboard piece with two embossing powders: Summer Breeze and Starry Night.

I used the same treatment on the Garden Lattice Bits chipboard.

I tucked a Wanderlust printed chipboard piece in at the bottom right of the photo, then layered on a Wanderlust Vine, a Wanderlust Lily, and a white rose from the Happy Roses set.

Blue Fern Studios - Happiness

Hi blog friends! I'm back with another Blue Fern Studios layout featuring the new Wanderlust collection.  This one is called "Happiness".

I started with the gorgeous Wanderlust Mountain View paper. I was inspired by the blue pool water in my photo to add various colors of blue spray ink.  I then applied modeling paste through a stencil and some random stamping in black with the new Departure stamp.

I embossed the Happiness chipboard piece with Ebony embossing powder.  I embossed the sides of the Natural Frame chipboard piece with Hot Cocoa embossing powder, and then embossed the foliage areas of it with Avocado embossing powder.

My flower clusters include yellow and blue Wanderlust Lilies, a blue lily from the Dark Tropic Lilies set, and yellow blooms from the Spring Florals set.

Below is a closer look at the Avocado embossing powder...isn't it lovely?!

Blue Fern Studios - This Moment

It's time to share my August Blue Fern Studios projects!  Let's start with this one which features a selfie of the three of us and Blue Fern's new Wanderlust collection.

This Moment

This layout focused on the Wanderlust collection's neutral tones.  I started with the B-side of a piece Wanderlust Calling Cards paper and then layered strips of Wanderlust Pacific Coast paper (both sides) horizontally.  After a treatment of clear gesso, I painted the paper a bit with tan and brown spray inks, followed by stamping here and there in black with the new Dispatch stamp.

I embossed the "this Moment" chipboard piece with Mushroom embossing powder and then grunged it up a bit.  Above the chipboard piece, you can see some of the new Ivory Braided Trim.

The Swallow Border chipboard piece is another new item!  I treated it with Mushroom embossing powder and then added some Speckled Mint embossing powder in random areas.  It's layered on top of some of the new Ivory Venise Lace and topped with a Wanderlust Lily.

The Fern Leaves chipboard pieces are new, too! I treated two of them with the new Avocado embossing powder and tucked them into my embellishment clusters.

Blue Fern Studios - Wish

Happy Friday, blog friends! I'm back to share my third Blue Fern Studios layout for this month.  This one features a photo of my daughter at one of her recent dance competitions...it's a group jazz number to "Bippity Boppity Boo" and is soooo cute!

I chose a beautiful Blue Fern Studios paper called Concert Hall from the Courtship Lane collection.  I love how the paper matches the backdrop in my photo.

I treated the paper with drops of blue and pink spray ink, topped that with some white gesso through a stencil, and then used a stamp from the Blue Fern Studios Forever stamp set with black ink.

I embossed the Blue Fern Studios "Wish" title piece with three colors of Imagine Ink embossing powder (In the Navy, Bonny Blue, and Icicle).

I embossed the Blue Fern Studios Manchester Frame in Imagine Ink Bonny Blue powder, and then layered on the Blue Fern Studios Folkart Frame, which I embossed with Imagine Ink In the Navy powder.  I'm so pleased with the effect!  Don't be afraid to layer your chipboard pieces :)

Blue Fern Studios - Daddy's Little Girl

Hi, creative people! Today's scrapbook page features a sweet photo of my two loves and lots of gorgeous Blue Fern Studios products.

I chose a beautiful paper from the Blue Fern Studios Serendipity collection called Imagination for my layout.  I treated it with some white gesso, some drops of pink, peach, and orange spray ink, and some stamping in black with the Blue Fern Studios Tattered Newsprint stamp.

Oh how I adore this Blue Fern Studios Daddy's little Girl chipboard piece!  It comes as one piece, but I cut it into two pieces in order to suit my design.  It's embossed with Imagine Ink embossing powder in Antique Gold.  I used the same treatment on the Blue Fern Royal Monarch to the right of the photo.

I embossed two of the Blue Fern Studios Berry Stems chipboard pieces with Sand & Sea Imagine Ink embossing powder and tucked those into the top and bottom of my flower cluster.  There are several berry stem pieces in the set!

Blue Fern Studios - Joy

Hello blog friends!  I hope your July has been off to a great, creative start.  I've got three new scrapbook pages to share, starting with this one!

This gorgeous paper is from the Blue Fern Studios Courtship Lane collection.  It is called Royal Street.  As you can surely see, Blue Fern Studios papers and embellishments are gorgeous as they are and do not need extensive altering to look fabulous in your scrapbooks!  I simply added some drops of purple and teal mists, then stamped here and there with a stamp from the Blue Fern Studios Forever stamp set.

I covered a Blue Fern Studios Graduated Circles chipboard piece with Iridescent Grey Imagine Ink embossing powder.  What an awesome powder it is!  A favorite for sure.

The Joy chipboard piece from the Blue Fern Studios Good Vibes set sums up the emotion of the photo of my daughter and her grandfather perfectly.  It was a joyful visit for sure :)  I embossed the chipboard with Imagine Ink embossing powder in the color Plum.  It's a lovely, rich color and it looks terrific with the Blue Fern Studios plum colored berries!

Blue Fern Studios - Love

Hey friends! I'm here with my third layout for Blue Fern Studios this month. I really enjoyed playing with the brand new Garden Life collection. I hope you'll get your hands on some of it for yourself!

I used the Garden Life - In Bloom paper.  It's treated with gesso, drops of Lindy's Stamp Gang spray ink, and a stamp from Blue Fern's Essential Textures stamp set.

I embossed the Shabby Brick Bits chipboard piece with Snow embossing powder.  The Brick Rings chipboard pieces are first embossed with Baby Pink and then with Pretty in Pink embossing powder.

My flower cluster includes Garden Blooms, Garden Florals, and Spring Florals.  I have also used 3 pieces from the Garden Life Printed Chipboard set.

The "Love" chipboard piece is from the Good Vibes set.  It's embossed with Ebony embossing powder.

Blue Fern Studios - Life is full of Surprises

Hi crafty peeps! Hope you're having a great weekend.  I'm here with my second Blue Fern Studios DT layout for June...I hope it provides some inspiration :)

This layout is made with the Garden Life - Snippets paper.  I treated it with gesso, the Tattered Harlequin stamp, and drops of white paint.

My flower cluster includes Chesterville Florals and Harvest Lilies. I sprinkled some Prima Finnabair microbeads for added texture.

I framed the photo with a chipboard piece from the Splattered Circles set and a negative piece from the Brick Rings set.  They are covered with Sand and Sea embossing powder.  The title piece, Life is full of Suprises, is embossed in Ebony embossing powder.

I also layered 3 pieces of Garden Life - Felicity paper behind the photo.  This was a fun day, by the way... we surprised my daughter with her first trip to the roller rink, and she learned to skate in no time!

Blue Fern Studios - Cute Stuff

Hi, blog friends! It's time to start sharing my June Blue Fern Studios design team layouts.  All three feature the new paper collection called Garden Life.

My first layout features the Garden Life - Wallflowers paper. I treated it with gesso, drops of Lindy's Stamp Gang spray ink, modeling paste through a Prima stencil, the Serendipity Medley stamp, and a stamp from the Forever stamp set.

I clustered some Garden Florals and Garden Blooms with some Petaloo flowers, Prima flowers, and Prima buttons.

I framed the photo with a chipboard piece from the Graduated Circles set embossed with 14 karat embossing powder.  The Garden Lattice Bits and the "Cute Stuff" title from the Good Vibes set were first embossed with Sunlight Rose embossing powder and then embossed a second time with Rusty Rose embossing powder.

Blue Fern Studios - Sassy

Hi blog friends!   I'm here with my third Blue Fern Studios layout for this month!

Sassy

This layout features the Happy Accident - Chance paper.  I prepared the paper with a layer of clear gesso followed by modeling paste through a stencil.  Next, I added color with drops of purple, pink, black, and white sprays.  When dry, I stamped using the Tattered Harlequin stamp as well one of the Essential Textures stamps using black ink.

I embossed the Swirly Circle chipboard piece with Plum embossing powder.  I did the same on the Sassy chipboard piece, but I also added some Rusty Rose embossing powder on it here and there.  I love the beautiful effect!

Above and below, you can also see some of the Happy Accident Printed Chipboard stickers.

The below "Passion" chipboard sticker is also from the Happy Accident Printed Chipboard set.

My flower clusters include Happy Blooms and Happy Roses.

Blue Fern Studios - Together is the Best Place to be

Hello!  I'm back with my second May Blue Fern Studios design team layout.  This features the new paper collection called Happy Accident.

Together is the Best Place to be

This layout features the B side of the Happy Accident - Fluke paper.  I prepared it with a layer of clear gesso and then applied modeling paste through a stencil.  Next I added color with some drops of peach, orange, and yellow sprays. When dry, I added contrast by using black ink with the Tattered Newsprint stamp and a stamp from the Forever set.

I used Stormy Skies embossing powder on the Together is the Best Place to be chipboard piece.  Isn't it a lovely shade of blue?!  Used 14 Karat embossing powder on the Royal Heart Frame chipboard piece that you see peeking out under and around the photo.

I tucked a blue chipboard flower from the Happy Accident Printed Chipboard set into an embellishment cluster.

The flower clusters include beautiful Happy Blooms and Happy Roses.
