Happy Anniversary

We have some very sweet neighbors who recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary! Isn't that wonderful? :)  Here's the card that I made for them using some Momenta cardstock and gems.

I didn't have an appropriate sentiment stamp so I simply created one in my word processing software, printed it onto some cardstock, and then die cut and embossed it.

I made those pretty pink flowers with my Cricut, finished them off with a bit of glitter glue, and adhered them to the card on top of some ribbon and lace.

I realized after I made this card that these were the exact colors of my wedding :)

Halloween Wreath

Hey everyone!  I'm on the My Little Shoebox blog today with this fun Halloween wreath.

This is one of my favorite things that I've made, and it was really simple.  All I did was adhere approximately 100 rolled strips of 12 inch by three-quarter inch MLS Trick or Treat patterned paper to a styrofoam wreath and embellish it with coordinating roll-up flowers, a banner, glitter glue, and a bow.

How do you like those fun flower centers?  They're eye brads from Eyelet Outlet!

My Little Shoebox products used:
Trick or Treat patterned paper: Scaredy Cat
Trick or Treat patterned paper: Monster Crossing
Trick or Treat patterned paper: Spooky Treats
Trick or Treat patterned paper: Starry Night
Trick or Treat patterned paper: Batty for You
Trick or Treat patterned paper: Fright Night
Trick or Treat 3D roll-up flowers
Glitter alphabet stickers - Black Diamond

I used several sticks of hot glue, burning my fingers a bit in the process LOL, but I'm happy to have this wreath.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hip Hoppin with Unity Stamp Company and My Little Shoebox

Welcome to the next stop on part one of the My Little Shoebox and Unity Stamp Company hip hop!  If you've arrived here from Maria's blog, you're in the right place.  If not, please consider heading on over to the Unity blog to start at the beginning.
I've been having a blast creating cards with this MLS Halloween collection, called Trick or Treat.  There are so many delightfully cute Halloween-themed papers, stickers, roll-up flowers, and banners to play with.

As if that wasn't fun enough, I also had the opportunity to play with this perfectly coordinating "a little trick or treat" stamp collection from Unity!

I used the "Happy Halloween" sentiment stamp on my card front.  This was my first experience with Unity's stamps and I do believe I am hooked!  This card will soon be making its way across the country to one of Allison's cousins or grandparents :)

Your next stop is the incredibly talented Robyn Weatherspoon.  I can't wait to see what she created!  (In case of a glitch along the way, the full blog hop line-up can be found on the Unity blog).

Please be sure to leave a comment on each of the blogs as a random commenter will receive a fabulous prize from My Little Shoebox (comments close on 10/23 at midnight)!

and... don't forget about part two of the hop, which will begin next Thursday on the Unity blog... Unity will be providing a fabulous prize for that one!

Happy Halloween!

Yep, another My Little Shoebox Halloween card :)

For this card I clustered a handful of the Trick or Treat cardstock stickers and adhered them with foam tape.  Of course, I could not resist adding some roll-up flowers.  The sentiment was stamped using the co-branded a little trick or treat stamp set from Unity Stamp Company.

Did you know that MLS has a Trick or Treat challenge going on?  All you have to do is create a layout, card, or project using the Trick or Treat collection and submit it by the 28th.  All of the contest details can be found here.

Spooky

Another Halloween card today!  The Trick or Treat collection by My Little Shoebox is so stinkin' cute.  There's those awesome roll-up flowers again!  The banner was fussy-cut from one of the patterned papers and adhered to the card front with foam tape.  Allison "tells me" she can't wait to send these cards off to her cousins :)

MLS had a product swap with Unity Stamp Company this month!  I got to play with the co-branded a little trick or treat stamp set.  For my sentiment, I used the "spooky" portion of the "spooky treats" phrase stamp.  Thanks, Unity, for the chance to play with your fun stamps!

I have some more Halloween cards to share this week using the adorable new Trick or Treat collection by My Little Shoebox.

A simple but cute card for Allison to send to a loved one :)

Thanks So Much

I have another thank you card today made with papers from My Mind's Eye and embellished with some lovely Zva Creative bling.

I had fun playing with some new Spellbinders dies on this one!  The light blue scalloped circle piece behind the fancy white piece was cut from one of the dies that I received from Tara.  Thanks again, Tara!

See you tomorrow with some Halloween cards :)

Thankful

I had a pretty productive weekend with my scrappy goodies... my chores suffered, but what else is new LOL!  It always feels good to use up some of my stash along with adding more cards to my completed pile.

I made this one using papers from Pebbles as well as bling and a flower from Zva Creative.  The pink, brown, and white combo is still my favorite :)

Perfect

Hi friends!  Hope you're having a great weekend.  I've managed to get a few things created so far which makes me happy :)

This layout is up on the Momenta blog today.  I created it with My Creative Scrapbook's September challenge in mind; when I saw their challenge was to incorporate circles, I knew I had to participate.  One way that I love to use circles is to layer a large one behind the photo.  On this one, I used a corner punch to add interest to the circle.

The paper, puffy title sticker, puffy scalloped border sticker, bumble bee embellishment, and blue gems are all from Momenta's Chloe's Garden collection.

I love to make my own flowers using papers from the same collection as the background layers of the layout.  The blue flowers here are soooo simple and quick to make, yet they coordinate so nicely and add wonderful dimension.  If you would like to see how I made them, I posted instructions on the Momenta blog here.  The pearl brads used as the flower centers are from Eyelet Outlet.

I added several gorgeous Zva Creative flowers, leaves, flourishes, gems, and pearls. A girl can never have too many of those :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Momenta Blog Hop

Welcome to the next stop on the Momenta Blog Hop!

If you have arrived here from Jodi's blog, you're in the right place!  If you happened to arrive here first, I hope you'll hop on over to the beginning of the blog hop on the Momenta blog and go through the blog hop in order so that you won't miss out on any of the fun, inspiration, and opportunities for prizes :)

To celebrate World Card Making Day, the Momenta design team has created a variety of cards in hopes of inspiring your creativity with Momenta's fabulous products.

To participate, all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the 16 blogs on the hop (a complete list is below). The deadline for commenting is 11:59 EST, Sunday October 2nd. Five winners will be chosen by Random.org on Monday, October 3rd and will be announced on the My Momenta blog! Each winner will be receiving one of five boxed card kits…

Here's the order of the blog hop:
Start: Momenta blog
Abigail Prado
Aymee Gandy
Carrie Walz
Christine Meyer
Cristal Hobbs
Erin Morehouse
Jamie Cripps
Joanna Bandelin
Jodi Wilton
Kristine Berc <-- You are here!
Linda Abadie
Monika Wright
Sherri Thompson
Momenta Facebook page
End: Momenta blog

I had the opportunity to create with the "Melodies" boxed card kit, and I was really happy about how quick and easy it was to create all of these cards.  The perfectly coordinating kit comes with 12 cards and envelopes; assorted sentiment, shape, and border stickers; and gems in a matching box.

A great thing about these card kits, aside from how easy they are to assemble, is that all of the pieces are there for you, pre-cut and ready to be mixed and matched however your creativity desires.

I decided to add some twine from my stash to each card for added detail and dimension, but the cards would be just as lovely (and more mail-friendly) without it.

Notice the fun bracket-shaped edge on the envelope flaps?  I love that fun detail.

You don't even need your own adhesive, because all of the embellishments are stickers.  You could choose to add foam squares behind the sentiment stickers, as I did, for added dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Your next stop is Linda Abadie :)
