Eyelet Outlet Christmas Sock Monkey Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the next stop on the Eyelet Outlet Christmas Sock Monkey Blog Hop!

If you are following along with the lineup, you should have arrived here from Pearl's blog.  If you just happened to stop by here first, you may want to head over to the Eyelet Outlet blog and do the hop in order so that you don't miss out on any of the fun and inspiration.

Here is the lineup:

We know there are a ton of sock monkey fans out there... are these Christmas brads fun, or what?!

I wanted this festive little guy to be in the spotlight on my card, so I kept my design quite clean and simple.

Isn't he just the cutest jolly little fellow?

Products used:
cardstock (Bazzill)
patterned paper, cardstock sticker (Echo Park)
embossing folder (Provo Craft)
jute twine, fabric paint (misc.)

Thanks so much for hopping by!
Please remember to leave a comment on each of the participating blogs.
Your next stop is Janice Kohles.

Altered Chocolate Bar Wrappers

I have more chocolatey holiday gifts to share today :)

I was inspired by some beautiful candy bar wrappers made by Jolaine Frias to create these for our children's library and toddler time ladies.  The metallic paper and textured cardstock (except for the Bazzill white) is Momenta.

The metallic (black and silver) paper is a bit difficult to photograph, but in person they are shiny and festive... perfect for the holidays.

These wrappers easily slide right off the chocolate bars just like the original wrappers do, although I think these are a bit prettier :)

Chocolate-Filled Holiday Gable Boxes

I love making these little gable boxes to give as gifts.  Allison will be giving these to some very special ladies in her life.  To me, something as simple as a handful of yummy chocolates is so much prettier when presented in handmade packaging.

The centers of the accordion flowers are Peppermint Candy brads from Eyelet Outlet.  I thought they were the perfect finish since the boxes contain Dove chocolates and Hershey's creme de mènthe meltaways.

All of the patterned paper that I used is from the Winter Wonderland collection from My Little Shoebox.

Unfortunately, not all of the chocolates would fit into the boxes, so there were some left over that had to be promptly eaten by me.

Come back tomorrow to see more chocolatey holiday gifts :)

I love this super cute Gingerbread Boy brad!

Did you know that Eyelet Outlet also carries ribbon?

The Eyelet Outlet blog is featuring holiday projects all month long...

Holiday Gift Bags

I've been having fun creating my own gift wrap for Christmas this year.  I recently made these holiday gift bags using Momenta textured cardstock, metal paper, and alpha stickers on some plain kraft bags that I picked up from the dollar store.  These are quite simple to make yet I think they take the presentation of the gift to a whole new level.

I'll be able to share more gift wrap projects next week using Momenta, My Little Shoebox, and Eyelet Outlet products so I hope you'll check back :)

My Creative Scrapbook Sneak Peeks

Hi and happy Friday!

I am SUPER EXCITED to shout that I have been given the amazing opportunity of guest designing for My Creative Scrapbook this month!

If you are unfamiliar with MCS, it is a top-notch kit club whose owner, Pam, has an incredible talent for putting together the absolutely most gorgeous jam-packed kits each and every month.  Her team of designers is amazingly talented and provides an enormous amount of high quality inspiration with each of Pam's four monthly kits.

The inspiration that I have gotten from MCS for over three years now has played such a large part in my creative growth.  I feel so honored to join the team as a guest this month!  Yes, I am a wee bit on the emotional side but I am just so thrilled about this :)

Okay so yesterday the designers' and guest designers' sneak peeks of their December kit work was posted on the blog and message board, so I want to share a few of mine here with you :)

Main Kit sneak peeks:
