More My Creative Scrapbook Main Kit: Echo Park Beautiful Life

Hi! Hope you had a great weekend.

I have a quick card to share today that I made using this month's Main kit from My Creative Scrapbook. This is my fourth project using the kit and I still have lots of parts and pieces left over.

One of my favorite things to use on cards is lace, so I was thrilled to find some in the kit!

More My Creative Scrapbook August Main Kit: Echo Park Beautiful Life

Hello and happy Friday! :)

This is my third layout created with the Main kit this month at My Creative Scrapbook which features the Beautiful Life collection by Echo Park Paper Co.

I used lots of paper layers here but this time they're concentrated in the center of the page, leaving lots of white space, which is something pretty new for me. It's difficult to see in the photo but there's a bit of masking peeking out in the background using a Prima stencil with molding paste.

The chipboard fence pieces are the trimmings of the fence that were left over from my previous layout. I really love being able to stretch supplies into multiple projects.

More Echo Park Beautiful Life: My Creative Scrapbook August Main Kit

Hello! I have another My Creative Scrapbook August Main kit layout to share today.

I love the variety of colors in the Echo Park Beautiful Life collection.  For this layout I pulled the pinks and reds along with some neutral kraft.

By the way, this is my six-year-old niece. Isn't she a doll? :)

 

As is often the case, I couldn't resist tying some bows- such a simple way to pretty up a project.

In addition to all of the flowers, stickers, trims, and artisan pieces, the kit includes an awesome raw chipboard fence. I painted the fence with a couple coats of white paint, tucked a length of the lace underneath, and used it to ground my layout. Oh, and I trimmed away the excess length of the fence to use on another layout.

My Creative Scrapbook August Main Kit: Echo Park Beautiful Life

This is one of the layouts that I made with the My Creative Scrapbook August Main kit featuring Echo Park Beautiful Life.

There are lots of pretty colors in this kit. For this layout, I chose the blues and the greens along with pops of pale yellow.

I did a bit of masking on the background paper with a few different masks and distress inks from my stash before layering on the kit goodies. I really love the added interest this brings to the project, once again inspired by the work of Christin Grønnslett.

There are always beautiful ribbons and trims included in the kits, and I do love to embellish my layouts with pretty bows!

More My Creative Scrapbook June Creative Kit: Echo Park

I'm back with my second layout using the June Creative kit from My Creative Scrapbook kit club. Featuring Echo Park's A Perfect Summer collection, this kit is, well, perfect for summer!

I managed to snap these photos of Allison splashing around in a kiddie pool before she realized the water was freezing as it had just come out of the hose and hadn't had time to be heated up by the sun... once that realization occurred, there were no more (happy) photo opportunities!

My Creative Scrapbook June Creative Kit: Echo Park

The June Creative kit at My Creative Scrapbook is adorable, happy, and full of summer goodness! Featuring the A Perfect Summer collection from Echo Park, the kit is suited for lots of fun projects.

Here is one of the layouts that I created with the kit:

The flowers in the kit were originally a bright yellow color- very pretty but not the colors that I wanted them to be for this layout. So I used gesso, acrylic paint, and mist to change the colors to pinks and white.

I used the same acrylic paint to color the raw chipboard "Summer" piece pink.

I need to tell you, I have the upcoming July Creative kit spread out all over my craft table, and it's really lovely! I can't wait for you to see it.
